Obituary of Daniel W. Crawford

Daniel W. Crawford, 85, of Crestwood Circle in Dansville, formerly of Geneseo, died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He is survived by his wife Lettie Alexander Crawford, a resident of the Wyoming County Skilled Nursing Facility in Warsaw, his brother, John (Theresa) Crawford of Warsaw, sisters, Jean Crawford and Dorothy (Stuart) Crawford both of Warsaw, sister in law, Elva Crawford of Warsaw, brother in law, Warren Graham of Wellsville, many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Willard Crawford, and his sister Norma Graham. He was born November 19, 1924 in Canaseraga, NY the son of Joseph and Clara (Warren) Crawford. He was a US Army World War II veteran. He participated in the Battle of the Bulge and was awarded both the Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. Daniel was a graduate of Bryant and Stratton College in Rochester. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday, May 5, 2010 from 12 Noon - 2 PM where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 2 PM with Rev. Carson Mowser of the Central Presbyterian Church in Geneseo officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo with Military Honors.
