Obituary of Richard L. Shea
Richard L. "Dick" Shea, 86, of Fairview Rd., in Scottsville, died Saturday, April 24, 2010 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY.
He is survived by his wife Ann, daughters, Carol (Rodney) Crane of Conesus, Marcia (John) Wingate, Audrey Rader and Allyn Shea all of Scottsville, 8 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, sister, Jacquelyn Agoney of Plattsburg, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his son in law Carl Rader.
Dick was born October 23, 1923 in Standish, NY the son of Floyd and Mary Louise Cote Shea. He served in the US Army during World War II, enlisting on February 22, 1943 in Ft. Niagara, NY and was discharged on November 5, 1945 in Greensboro, NC. He was retired from General Railway Signal in Rochester, NY.
Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday, April 227, 2010 from 4-7 PM where Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Greg Mullin of the Scottsville Community Gospel Church officiating. Burial will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo with Military Honors.
