Obituary of Elizabeth Cheney Buckley

Elizabeth "Betty" Cheney Buckley, 94, formerly of Geneseo, died October 6, 2009 in Bath, Maine. She was predeceased by her husband Colonel Thomas C.T. Buckley and 2 daughters, Elizabeth Buckley Frederick and Louise Cheney Mayer. Betty is survived by her son Thomas (Jorunn) Buckley of West Bath, ME, 4 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and one beloved niece. Betty was born January 15, 1915 in Hartford, CT the daughter of Austin and Ruth Cheney. She was a longtime and active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held 11 AM Saturday, April 17, 2010 at St. Michael's Episcopal Church, 23 Main St. in Geneseo where a reception will follow in the church undercroft. Graveside Services will follow the reception at 2 PM in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, a donation to an organization in keeping with Betty's faithful, compassionate and liberal spirit would be appropriate.
