Obituary of Dorothy G. Bovee

Dorothy G. Bovee, 94, died Saturday, February 20, 2010 at the Steuben County Health Care Facility in Bath, NY. Miss Bovee was previously from Wellsville. She is survived by her nephews, Donald (Joyce) Harvey of West Sparta, Randy Harvey of Bath, Tim Harvey of Dansville, several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Mary Bovee, her sisters Alice Kriely, Marjorie Rutledge, and Marion Harvey, and dear friend Dr. Arthur Junker. She was born October 3, 1915 in Cohocton, NY the son of Victor and Mary Mastin Bovee. Dorothy was a graduate of Geneseo Normal School. She began her teaching career as a special education teacher in the Wellsville School District and retired as superintendent of Wellsville Central School. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Tuesday, February 23, 2010 from 9-11 AM where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 11:00 A.M.
