Obituary of Leon R. Buchanan

Leon R. "Lee" Buchanan, of East Cedarbush Dr. in Canandaigua, died Tuesday, January 12, 2010 at his residence. Lee was formerly of Geneseo. He is survived by his wife Janet Phillips Buchanan, children, Kathy (Jeff) Allen of Hilton, Karen (Michael) Atwood of Churchville, Robert (Annette) Buchanan of Avon, Melissa (Jamie) Buchanan of Leicester, grandchildren, Austin, Zachary, Cullen, Alexis, Meredith, Clarissa, Anna and Brandon.. Lee was born April 25, 1935 in Canandaigua, NY the son of Robert and Kathryn Hendershott Buchanan. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School and Alfred University. Lee also served in the US Army Reserves. He was a retired credit manager at ITEK Corporation in Rochester and was later employed by Livingston County as a social worker. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Thursday, January 14, 2010 from 4-6 PM where Memorial Services will follow visitation at 6 PM.
