Obituary of Donna J. Cook

Donna J. "Sis" Cook, 68, of Hawthorn Circle in Geneseo, died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She is survived by 2 sons, Michael (Lynn) Cook of Conesus, Steven (Denise) Cook of Geneseo, 2 brothers, Donald (Joanne) Barber of Geneseo, David Barber of Groveland, nieces and nephew, Leslie (Rick) Scoville, Laurie (John) McCurdy, Donald (Janet) Barber Jr., 7 great nieces, cousin, Chuck Culbertson of VA, special friend Glenda (Brad) Valentine and their sons Corey and Jason, many loving friends. She was born September 30, 1941 in Warsaw, NY the daughter of Donald and Alma Culbertson Barber. Donna was a retired secretary from Campus Auxiliary Services at SUNY Geneseo. She was previously employed by the Department of the Navy at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Wednesday, January 14, 2010 from 4-7 PM where Funeral Services will be held Thursday, January 14, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Lucille Kane of the Geneseo United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will be in Lakeview Cemetery in Groveland. IN LIEU OF FLOWERS, memorials may be made to the Geneseo Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 428, Geneseo, NY, 14454 or a charity of one's choice.
