Obituary of Alfred E. Everest

Alfred E. "Toby" Everest, 74, of Genesee St. in Piffard, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at his residence. Toby was formerly of Saratoga Springs, and Johnstown, NY. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Farruggia Everest, daughter, Bethany Everest of Albany, NY, sons, Andrew (Allison) Everest of Chicago, IL, Jason (Lorraine) Everest of Chapel Hill, NC, grandchildren, Menley, Molly, Emmett and Benjamin Everest, stepson, Jeremy Farruggia of Rochester, NY, sister in law, Nancy (Sam) Correard of Geneseo, NY. He was born May 21, 1935 in Amsterdam, NY the son of De Witt and Katherine Decker Everest. He was a US Army Veteran. Toby owned and operated Ever Serve Corporation in Piffard. He had previously been employed as a Police Sergeant for the Johnstown, NY Police Department. He was also employed by the New York State Department of Conservation and the new York State Department of Parks and Recreation as a uniformed Park Police Officer. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Saturday from 2-4, and 7-9 PM where Funeral Services will be held Sunday, January 3, 2010 at 1:00 P.M. with Deacon George Spezzano of St. Luke's Parish officiating.
