Obituary of Marcelene F. Day

Marcelene F. Day, 72, of Genesee St. in Piffard, died Wednesday, December 16, 2009 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She is survived by her children, Kimberly (Jim McDonald) Day of Piffard, Laurie (Mark Occhioni) Day of Leicester, John (Susan) Day of Reidsville, NC, Jennifer (John) Leslie of Piffard, grandchildren, Thomas Pacheco, Sam Day, Ashley and Amber Leslie, great grandchild, Jacob, sister, Karen (Dennis) House of Richmond, VA, sisters in law, Nancy and Betty Grant both of of Piffard, nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband John "Jack" Day in 1993. She was born October 8, 1937 in Retsof, NY the daughter of Ulysses S. and Helen Flint Grant. She was a graduate of York Central School in Retsof. She was retired from the custodial staff at York Central School. She was a member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Friday, December 18, 2009 from 4-7 PM where Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 19, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Mark Lattime of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
