Obituary of Mary J. Orlando

Mary J. Orlando, 94, died Saturday, October 17, 2009 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, where she was a resident. Mary resided on Court St. in Geneseo for many years prior to her entry into the nursing home. She is survived by her daughter in law, Barbara Orlando of Retsof, granddaughters, Tammy (Skip) Thompson of Honeoye Falls, Michelle (Joel) Arney of Pavilion, sisters, Ruby Vertino of Buffalo, Rose McCart of Leicester, brothers, Joseph Montemarano of Leicester, Pat Montemarano of Mt. Morris, Ray Montemarano of Nevada, Vito (Jan) Montemarano of Nevada, sister in law Doris Montemarano of Geneseo, several nieces, nephews and in laws. She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Orlando, and her son Michael Orlando. She was born January 3, 1915 in Cuylerville, NY the daughter of Dominic and Maria Marcello Montemarano. Mary was a retired sales clerk from the Ben Franklin Store on Main St. in Geneseo. She was a member of St. Mary's Church in Geneseo. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St., in Geneseo on Monday from 4-7 PM. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
