Obituary of Robert J. Parisen

Robert J. Parisen, of 600 Country Lane in Geneseo, died Saturday, May 23, 2009 at the Advent House in Fairport, NY, where he had been a resident since April 23, 2009. He is survived by his daughter, Patricia Olmstead of Geneseo, grandchildren, Daniel (Tammy) Olmstead of Canandaigua, Kathryn Olmstead of Lima, Timothy (Lauren) Olmstead of NH, great grandson, Ethan Olmstead, nieces and nephews.He was born March 7, 1919 in Brooklyn, NY the son of David and Anna MacIllwain Parisen. He served in the US Navy during World War II. He was employed as a purchasing agent with the Meer Corporation in North Bergen, NJ. Robert was an avid NY Yankees fan and was affectionately known around the Upper South St. Senior Housing Complex as the "Old Brooklyn Dodger". No prior calling hours. A Memorial Mass will be held Tuesday, May 26, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillion officiating. Interment will be in Holy Rood Cemetery in Westbury, NY.Memorials may be made to Catholic Charities of Livingston County, 10 Chapel St., Mt. Morris, NY, 14510.
