Obituary of Marie C. Cotton

Cotton, Marie Catherine (Amedeo)Geneseo: May 18, 2009 died peacefully at the age of 87 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. Marie was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Sarah Amedeo of Jamestown, NY, her husband William J. S. Cotton of Geneseo and her son-in-law Charles Perry of Lexington, Kentucky. Marie was born in Jamestown, NY. She graduated from Fredonia State College and went on to teach grade school on Long Island. Marie and her husband moved to Geneseo 53 years ago where they raised their family.She is survived by her children, Susan Perry of Lexington, Kentucky, Cheryl West of Irving, Texas and Bill (Brigid) Cotton of Geneseo, NY, grandchildren, Ian Cotton of Hastings, England, Fiona Cotton of Geneseo, and Sarah Perry of Lexington, Kentucky. The family would like to thank the staff of the following facilities for their loving care of Marie; Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation (Memory Lane), Morgan Estates Assisted Living Special Care Unit and the Livingston County Hospice Team.A private memorial service will be observed. Interment will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo
