Obituary of Michael J. Vangalio

Michael J. Vangalio, 53, formerly of Geneseo, died suddenly Friday, March 27, 2009 at his home in Newbury, Ohio where he and his family had resided since 2005. He is survived by his wife, Judith Weinar Vangalio, and his children, Joseph and Emma Vangalio, all of Newbury, OH, his mother, Margaret Vangalio of Geneseo, his sister, Anne Vangalio of Geneseo, his father in law, Marshall Weinar of Hamburg, NY, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and in laws. He was preceded in death by his father Samuel Vangalio, and his mother in law Mary Lou Weinar. Mike was born May 27, 1955 in Geneseo, the son of Samuel and Margaret Bellanca Vangalio. He was a graduate of Geneseo High School Class of 1973. He married Judith Weinar on May 16, 1987. Mike was employed by the C4 Polymer Company in Bainbridge, Ohio. Mike was a dedicated member of St. Helen's Parish in Newbury where he served as team leader of the Mens Renewal Group and as an Eucharist Minister. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus and an avid Cleveland Indians and Buffalo Bills fan. He will be remembered as a great dad! Calling hours and Funeral Mass were held in Newbury, Ohio. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, May 23, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd., in Geneseo with Father Edward Dillon officiating. Burial was in Munn Road Cemetery, Newbury, Ohio.
