Obituary of Francis W. Olsowsky

Francis W. "Punk" Olsowsky, 92, of Main St. in Wadsworth, died peacefully Wednesday, February 4, 2009 under hospice care at the home of his daughter in Wyoming, NY.He is survived by his children, Nancy (Russell) Buster of Powder Springs, GA, Joan (Dennis) Musshafen of Linwood, NY, Gary Olsowsky of Wadsworth, NY, David (Karen) Olsowsky of Leicester, NY, Mary Jane (James) Osterman of Wyoming, NY, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and 1 great great grandchild, nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his wife Lillian Patterson Olsowsky in 1995.He was born March 20, 1916 in Leicester, NY the son of Frederick and Effie Mae Winter Olsowsky. Punk was a mechanic at the AKZO Salt Mine in Retsof where he retired in 1980.No Prior Calling Hours. Private Funeral Services will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home in Geneseo with Rev Manilla Owen officiating. Spring Burial in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York followed by a Celebration of Punk's Life will be announced.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wyoming County Hospice, 450 North Main St., Warsaw, NY, 14569.
