I met Dolores one evening at a PWP dance at the Wishing Well Restaurant & Party House in the early 1970's. We had a fine time dancing together, and she invited out to the farm in Groveland. At that time I had never heard of Groveland NY. After a couple weeks had passed, I learned it was in the Geneseo Area, that much I knew about Geneseo NY. I had to ask a lot of questions as to how to get to Groveland and the Wacholder Farm. As it turned out, I was able to locate the farm. When I pulled up to the house in my then Black Olds 98, Dolores was standing on the rear Porch, and she was ready to ream me out as she thought I was another salesman in my white suit and dark glasses. But when I removed my dark glasses, she then recognized who I was and was very happy to see me. She then took me on a tour of her dairy farm in my white suit, walking behind and trying not to step in all that Glob that was everywhere, and finally a walk up the hill to the fields again in my white suit, and by the time I got back to the house with her, my suit wasn't all that white anymore. I never did figure out how she came up with my size for Jeans and shoes for me to wear. She introduced me to her children Larry be the oldest, Georgina, Debby, Jeff,Ken & Cookie, she also had a young hired hand working on the farm who had an interest in Georgia. I learned alot about Dairy Farming thru the family, it was a rewarding time for me. I will always treasre her wonderful smile, she was a wonderful lady to know and I am happy to have had the pleasure to meet and dance with her those night so long ago.
