Obituary of Anthony A. Brown

GENESEO: Anthony A. "Tony" Brown, 99, a Geneseo native and well known horse farmer, died Thursday, May 29, 2008 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. Mr. Brown resided on Lakeville Rd. in Geneseo. He is survived by his son David "Iggy" Brown of Geneseo, grandsons, Tony Brown of Geneseo, and Tom Brown of Iowa, great granddaughter Haley Brown, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife Carolyn and son Thomas Brown. Tony was born August 27, 1908 in Geneseo, NY the son of Thomas and Florence Feolo Brown. He owned and operated Brown Farms on Lakeville Rd. in Geneseo. He was a member of the Genesee Valley Hunt and the Genesee Valley Breeders Association through which he was awarded their Lifetime Achievement Award. Tony would have been 100 years old on August 27, 2008. Visitation will be held at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo on Sunday, June 1, 2008 from 1-4 PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, June 2, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at c with Deacon George Spezzano of St. Luke's Parish officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
