Obituary of Irene Orban

Irene Orban, age 83 of Genesee St. in York, died Thursday, August 6, 2015 at her residence. She was predeceased by her parents, Chester and Vivian Wheelock and her sister, Bertha Wheelock. She is survived by her children, Donna Orban, Debbie (Glenn) Mayer, Eric (Kimberly) Orban, Brenda (Jeffery) Eikenburg, David (Maureen) Orban, 9 grandchildren, her brother, Eldred (Audrey) Wheelock, several nieces and nephews. Irene was born January 8, 1932 in Rochester, NYthe daughter of Chester and Vivian Robbins Wheelock. She was a member of the York Historical Society and the York Garden Club. Irene was retired from the Batavia Veterans Hospital where she served as a Nurse and Hairdresser. Friends may call Monday, August 10, 2015 from 1-3 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at3 PM. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York, NY. Memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 Murray Hill Dr., Mt. Morris, NY 14510.
