Obituary of Carol M. Farruggia

Carol M. Farruggia, age 86, of Retsof, died Friday, July 3, 2015 in Mt. Morris. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Farruggia Jr. in 1995. She is survived by her children, Charles Farruggia III of Geneseo, Michael Farruggia of Retsof, Lynn (Tim) Burns of Mt. Morris, grandchildren, Chuck (Brenda) Farruggia IV, Joey Farruggia, Tim Burns Jr., Travis (Marissa) Burns, great grandchildren, Kaylee, Evan, Dylan and Anthony Farruggia, many nieces, nephews and cousins. Carol was born July 5, 1928 in Utica, NY the daughter of Raymond and Anna Manogue Colwell and was raised in Old Forge, NY. She was a Bank Teller for the Bank of Castile in Retsof. Carol was a long time member of St. Lucy's Church in Retsof and St. Lucy's Rosary Society. She was a member of the Livingston County Democratic Committee and a chairperson for the New York State Democratic Committee. Carol generously volunteered her time at the Teresa House in Geneseo. Calling hours will be held Monday, July 6, 2015 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2015 at 9:30 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
