Obituary of William J. Leighton

William J. "Bill" Leighton, 89, of Melody Lane in Geneseo, died Thursday, November 29, 2012 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He is survived by his wife Barbara Spear Leighton, 3 daughters, Margaret Leighton of Airmont, NY, Debra (John) Chicoine of Corryton, TN, Nancy Leighton of Rochester, 3 grandchildren, Christine Penza of Webster, Jeremy Maglio of NC, Rachel Miller of MD, 5 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was born May 4, 1923 in Geneseo, NY the son of William and Margaret Wade Leighton. Bill was a US Army World War II veteran. He worked for Pavilion Natural Gas Company and retired from Rochester Gas and Electric Company. Graveside Services were held Saturday, December 1, 2012 at Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
