Obituary of Rose B. McCart

Rose B. McCart, age 98, formerly of Leicester, died Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph, sister, Mary Orlando and Ruby Vertino, brothers, Mauro, Michael, Peter, Jerry, Louis, Vito, Rafael and Patsy Montemarano. She is survived by her children, Beverly (Ken) Rizzo of Leicester, James (Jill) McCart of Cohocton, grandchildren, Zachary and Tyler McCart, Lynn (Matthew) Tabak, Shelley (Anthony) Peruzzi, Lena (Christopher) Sank, great grandchildren, Jack Tabak, Jadyn and Damien McCart and Christopher Sank II, brother, Joseph Montemarano of Leicester, brother in law, Robert McCart of Cuylerville, many nieces and nephews. Rose was born July 8, 1916 in Cuylerville, NY the daughter of Dominic and Mary Marcello Montemarano. She retired from SUNY Geneseo where she was employed in Food Services. Rose was a long time member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Leicester. During her stay at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home she enjoyed their activities programs. Calling hours will be held Monday, March 23, 2015 from 4-8 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2015 at 10 AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 175 Main St. in Leicester with Father Edward Dillon officiating.
