Obituary of Edward J. Dwyer

Edward J. Dwyer, age 84, of Westfall Rd. in Rochester, formerly of Geneseo, died Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. He was predeceased by his brothers, John, James Jr. and Howard Dwyer, sister, Alice Dwyer, and nephew, Mark Dwyer. He is survived by his dear friend, Joseph Villone of Rochester, sister in law, Elizabeth "Biddy" Dwyer of Geneseo, niece, Anne (Mark) O'Neil of Hilton Head, SC, nephew, David (Carol Carey) Dwyer of Geneseo, several great nieces and nephews. Edward was born April 27, 1930 in Rochester, NY the son of James M. and Cora Gallagher Dwyer, Sr. Edward was a graduate of Geneseo High School, class of 1949 and a Graduate of SUNY Geneseo. He taught abroad for NATO at the American School in Paris, France and retired from the Pittsford Central School District. No prior calling hours. Prayer Services Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at 9:30 AM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo with Funeral Mass to follow at 10 AM St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to the St. Mary's Scholarship Fund, 13 North St., Geneseo, NY 14454.
