Obituary of Phyllis Annette Simpson Hunn

Phyllis Annette Simpson Hunn, age 86, of Genesee St in Piffard, died Friday, November 28, 2014 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She is survived by her sons, Brian (Barb) Hunn of Williamson, NY, Doug Hunn of Piffard, Randy (Joanie) Hunn of Fairfax, VA, Bob (Donna) Hunn of West Bloomfield, grandchildren, Stephen (Natalie) Hunn, Diana (Nathan) Scheidler, Joshua (Meredith) Hunn, Julianne Hunn, Jonathan Hunn, Olivia (Brett) Novak, Zachary Hunn, great granddaughter, Payton Hunn, sister in law, Eleanor Edwards Holbrook of Seattle, WA, nieces, nephews and very special neighbors, Kay and Roger Rathburn. Phyllis was born July 8, 1928 the daughter of Reid and Annette MacIntyre Simpson at the family farm in York. She was a life-long member of the York United Presbyterian Church where she was the church organist for 25 years. Phyllis loved music and was also a very talented artist. Her family and friends were blessed to receive gifts of her paintings. Phyllis taught organ and piano lessons for many years. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. Phyllis lived a wonderful life with her husband of 64 years, Everett, as a farm wife. They both enjoyed winters in Florida and special times with family and friends. No prior calling hours. Memorial Services will be held Monday, December 1, 2014 at 11 AM at the York United Presbyterian Church, in York with Pastor Michelle Sumption officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the York United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Main Street, York, NY 14592 or the York Ambulance Fund, P.O.
