Obituary of Everett Hunn

Everett Hunn, age 87, of Genesee St. in Piffard, died Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the Village Green Nursing Home in Leroy, NY. He is survived by his wife, Phyllis S. Hunn, sons, Brian (Barb) Hunn of Williamson, NY, Doug Hunn of Piffard, Randy (Joanie) Hunn of Fairfax, VA, Bob (Donna) Hunn of West Bloomfield, grandchildren, Stephen (Natalie) Hunn, Diana (Nathan) Scheidler, Joshua (Meredith) Hunn, Julianne Hunn, Jonathan Hunn, Olivia (Brett) Novak, Zachary Hunn, great granddaughter, Payton Hunn, sister, Eleanor Edwards Holbrook of Seattle, WA, nieces, nephews and very special neighbors, Kay and Roger Rathburn. Everett was born February 9, 1927 in Pavilion, NY the son of Roy Everett and Olive A. Wright Hunn. Everett was a member of the York United Presbyterian Church where he sang bass in the choir for many years. He was a lifetime farmer for Hunn Farms. He lived a wonderful life, spending 64 years with his sweetheart, the love of his life, Phyllis. All of his family and many friends were able to tell him "goodbye for now" and how much they loved him. He was truly blessed! Calling hours will be held Friday, October 31, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, November 1, 2014 at 11 am at the York United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Ray Lindquist officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the York United Presbyterian Church, 2662 Main St., York, NY 14592.
