Obituary of James W. Borden

James W. Borden, age 81, of Villagewood Lane in Penfield, formerly of Geneseo, died Friday, August 15, 2014 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his daughter, Sarah Borden in 2009. He is survived by his children, James (Deborah) Borden of Fairport, Shelly (Richard Kline) Weiss of Fairport, Kenneth (Kimberly) Borden of Ware, NH, Thomas (Wendy) Borden of Rochester, Patty (Jeff Root) Palmer of Mt. Morris, Constance (Clifford) Aho of Geneseo, Jerimiah (Amanda) Borden of Henrietta, many grandchildren & great grandchildren. James was born December 7, 1932 in Hornell, NY the son of Berle and Ruth Brown Borden. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran. James was a Chemical Technician for ATOCHEM in Piffard, NY. He was an accomplished harmonica player. Jim was an avid gun collector and an advocate of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed antique cars and car shows. Jim was a man of family and faith above all. Friends may call Monday, August 18, 2014 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo where Funeral Services will follow visitation at 7 PM. Graveside Services will be Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10 am at the Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo with full Military Honors.
