Obituary of Donald Thomas Holland

Donald T. Holland of Geneseo, died on February 22nd 2014 after becoming ill while on a trip to India. He was born June 4, 1932 in Lock Haven, PA, the son of the late William G. and the late Florence Davies Holland. He is survived by one brother, John D. (Louise) Holland of Cheektowaga, NY, and is predeceased by another brother, William G. (late Gertrude) Holland Jr. of Lock Haven, PA. He is also survived by 6 nieces and nephews, and their children and grandchildren. Donald was the 50+ year companion of R. Bull-Brett who died in 2011. He was a long-time friend of Darren Chiacchia, and a special friend to Laura Minor, Linda Gibbs, Gail Dorr, the Lloyd family, and many others too numerous to mention. Donald was retired from the NYS Court System as a Supreme Court stenographer. He was a veteran of the USAF. Donald was an active member of the Genesee Valley Hunt, the School of Applied Philosophy, Open Sky Yoga, a recent student of Hindu practices, an active member of St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo and a former member of the North-South Skirmish Association. No prior visitation. A memorial service will be held at St. Michael's Episcopal Church in Geneseo on June 4, 2014 at 2PM. Burial will be private. Flowers gratefully declined.
