John (Neil) was a loving husband and father, a thoughtful and loyal friend and a man of high moral principles. He enjoyed a good laugh, many times directed toward himself, but was a gentle soul. He is gone much too soon and we will miss him greatly.

I met Neil traveling back and forth from downtown Rochester on the RTS bus! He was such a great guy - great sense of humor - and his laugh was the best. We had some good laughs.
I will be thinking of his family during this difficult time.

As another Nundawaga Scouter, Neil and I would talk about the joys...no rewards of scouting. He loved life. He was positive about beating cancer but God must need Neil up there to run a Troop up in heaven. I will miss you Neil!

John was a man of integrity who had a big heart and loved his family more than anything in the world. My condolences to Cathy and family.

What we will remember most about John is his infectious laugh. When John laughed, you couldn't help but laugh yourself. He was always ready with a joke, a silly story, or a prank. You know John...like the stinky cheese on our intake manifold on our wedding day. We are happy for the times we shared with John...although now it seems they were too few. We bet that someplace in heaven there is a John Deere with John at the wheel, smiling as he putts along in the sun. All our love until we see you again. <3
