Obituary of Catherine N. Smalling

Catherine Isabel Nohearn Smalling: May 2, 2014, peacefully with her family at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia, NY at age 96 years. She was predeceased by her parents, Cleveland and Matilda Dihrberg Nohearn and her first husband Clarence W. Smalling. She is survived by her daughter, Carol (Henry) Jones of Corpus Christi, TX, son, Bruce (Suzanne) Smalling of Piffard, NY, grandchildren, Kimberly (Melton) Miller, Christopher Melton, David, Stephen and Peter (Julie) Smalling, 10 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Catherine relocated to Avon, NY in 1993 from Bay Shore, Long Island after retiring at age 77 after many years in Medical Administration Field. She was born in 1917 on the Brightwaters Farm in Brightwaters, NY on Long Island's south shore. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Conesus Lake Nursing Home, 6131 Big Tree Rd., Livonia, NY 14487.
