Dear Sylvia and family,
I love Dave and all of you. My life as a poet began with meeting him in his graduate Creative Writing course in the seventies. I loved his poetry and enjoyed many great times in your wonderful home. And thank you Sylvia for your writing and beautiful warmth. I had the opportunity to be one of the poets to spend time in migrant camps, to share and learn what I could, because of you. Dave was simply great and original. I will miss him and always be thankful for what he taught me and the encouragement he gave me to live my life as poet.
