Obituary of Bonita K. Johnson

Bonita Kay Fuller Johnson, 78, of Geneseo, NY, died peacefully on December 28, 2024, surrounded by family.

Bonnie, formerly of Calabash, NC, was predeceased by her parents, Grant and Louise Fuller, siblings, Oddie Klang, Joyce Fuller and Richard Fuller, and husband, Fred Johnson.

She is survived by her daughter, Kerri (Scott Annechino) Klajbor, son, Jason (Morgan) Hellquist, grandchildren, Ian Klajbor, Ollie and Max Hellquist, nieces, Barb (Mike) Straight, Tina (Brian) Harris and Lisa (Chris) Schwier, many great nieces and nephews, and her second family of friends from Morgan Estates.

Bonnie lived a life of kindness and friendship, making connections in every place she went. From the golf courses of North Carolina, to walks with friends to pick berries, she brought a smile and laughter to all she met. She always thought of others before herself and cherished time with her family. After enjoying twenty years of retirement in North Carolina, Bonnie returned to upstate New York in 2021 to spend time with her children and grandchildren, quickly becoming the grand dogs favorite visitor, and the second biggest Buffalo Bills fan in the family.

Her Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11 AM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo.
