Obituary of Lois S. Costello

Lois S. Costello, age 91, a resident of Morgan Estates in Geneseo formerly of Avon and Melbourne Beach in FL, died Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Costello, grandson, John T. Van Roo, siblings, Roy and Eugene Sanford, Jane Cook and nephew, Sanford Cook.

She is survived by her children, Kathryn Costello of FL, Kristine (Thomas) Alsheskie of WI, Thomas (Kari) Costello II of VA, Karalynne (Thomas McGinnis) Temperato of Avon, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters in law, Jacqueline Robinson of Geneseo, Susanne (Rick) Parsons of CT, many nieces and nephews.

Lois was born May 18, 1933 in Honeoye Falls, NY the daughter of Raymond B. and Lucille Burgett Sanford. She loved dancing with her husband Thomas. Lois also sang with Sweet Adeline for many years. She owned and operated Avon Liquor and retired from the Livingston County Social Services Department. Lois served on the Livingston County Republican Committee and the Avon Elections Committee. She enjoyed quilting and gifting her creations to family and friends.

No prior calling hours. Graveside Services will be announced at a later date and time. Interment will be in West View Cemetery in Dansville.
