Obituary of MaryAnn Truax

MaryAnn Truax, age 85, of Leicester, died Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon Truax, brother, Salvatore Biondolillo and sister, Shirley Thompson.

She is survived by her sons, Michael (Christine) Truax of Fairport, Gordon (Debbie) Truax Jr. of Wadsworth. Grandchildren, Elissa (Justin) Abbott, Nicole (Eric) Skivington, Ashley (Dylan) Santillo, Abby (Sean) McTarnaghan, Gordon W.J. Truax, Michael (Abby) Truax, Justin (Dorothy) Mignemi, Jillian (Steven) Mignemi, eight great grandchildren. Brother, Thomas (Linda) Biondolillo of Conesus Lake, brother in law, Chuck Thompson of Leicester, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

MaryAnn's family would like to acknowledge her caregivers, Lori, Kim, Ann and Tom for their wonderful care and compassion over the years.

MaryAnn was born August 21, 1939 in Mt. Morris, NY, the daughter of Anthony and Josephine (Nasca) Biondolillo. MaryAnn went to St. Patrick Parochial School in Mt. Morris, NY, and graduated from Mt. Morris Central School. After graduation MaryAnn became a telephone operator for Rochester Telephone located in Mt. Morris, NY, and eventually retiring after 39 years from Frontier Communications in Rochester, NY. She was a member of St. Patrick Church until she moved to Leicester, NY, and became a longtime member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church.

MaryAnn was a dedicated and enthusiastic supporter of all York Central School's Athletic teams. She enjoyed watching game shows, Law and Order and the Little League World Series. She also enjoyed all 1950's music, especially Elvis Presley. No one loved Duke basketball more than MaryAnn!

No prior calling hours. Her Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of her family. She will be laid to rest in the Leicester Cemetery alongside her beloved husband.
