Obituary of Dixie L. Chichester
Dixie L. Chichester, age 84, of Piffard, died Friday, April 12, 2024 at Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She was predeceased by her parents, George and Ruth Schery, sisters, Marceline Schery, Mary Ellen Callahan and brother, Gary Hagan.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Chichester, children, Randy (Trish) Chichester, Renee Chichester all of Piffard, grandchildren, Courtney Chichester, Kelly (Zach) Hughes, Brooke Chichester, Abbey (Evan) Frederick, great granddaughter, Braylen Hughes, cousin, Paul Schery of Warsaw, several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Dixie was born June 19, 1939 in York, NY the daughter of George and Ruth Hagan Schery. She was a longtime member of St. Lucy's Church in Retsof.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 14, 2024 from 1-4 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
