Deepest sympathy to Brenda and Tom's family at the passing of their mom and mentor in life. A flood of treasured memories surfaced in recalling Tom and Brenda as outstanding educators and gifted mentors. From being a graduate student and getting to know Tom, and as a sponsor teacher in Avon to a number of Brenda's students entering the field of education, their love and dedication to each individual student set the example for all involved in education. Knowing that Brenda was a Geneseo student's student teaching supervisor assigned to my classroom, I knew the road would be filled with support, guidance and a wonderful learning experience for all involved. The many years since those days, friendships have continued, and educational opportunities have abounded for many of the former Geneseo Education students.
After retirement it was always a pleasure to meet up with Brenda at the Avon Retired Teachers' Luncheons- catching up on our families and activities, or chance meeting at Wegmans :), just enjoying treasured memories.
Brenda's beautiful smile and caring hug will always be etched in the memories of all who knew her. Laura Roland
