Obituary of Frances L. Lipson

Frances L. Lipson, age 93, of Geneseo, died Monday, March 13, 2023 at her residence after a long battle with dementia. She was predeceased by her husband of 70 years, William Lipson, grandson, Jeremy Bogont, and her 5 siblings.

She is survived by her children, Marcy (Dan) Winslow of Conesus Lake, Andy (Avis) Lipson of Churchville, grandchildren, Chad Lipson, Janna (Umberto) Santos, Betty Jo Winslow, Melissa (Josh) Meyer, great grandchildren, Olivia Lauren Lipson, Lily Winslow, Cody Winslow, Emma and Kasey Meyer, brother, Jerry (Bonnie) Willey of Geneseo, many nieces, nephews and canine companion Happy.

Frances was born October 11, 1929 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Ernest Elmer and Ruth Beatrice Creveling Willey. She earned her Master's Degree in Education and began teaching at the Holcomb School in Geneseo. When the Holcomb School closed she began teaching and retired from SUNY at Geneseo. Bill and Fran retired to St. Augustine, Florida where they enjoyed golfing, the beach and their many friends. Fran was a beloved, wife, mother, teacher and friend to many. She will be remembered as a story teller and a community volunteer.

No prior calling hours. A Graveside Service will be held in Mt. Morris Cemetery at a date and time to be announced in the spring.
