Dear Friends,
We were very sad to hear of Ian's passing. He was our first friend when we moved to Livingston County in 1972. He painted our new house. He advised us about how we city people could fit into our new rural community.
Ian was friendly, witty, charming, and full of knowledge. We will miss him.

Ian, who I together with several others, fondly referred to as Ivan, was much loved by those who knew him! Now absent from his body, but at home with His Lord Jesus Christ, in a place where no painting is required,,,ever! I look forward to seeing him there!

Very sorry to hear of Ian's death. I first met him when we were both selling real estate. He was always had a joke to tell that was more hilarious because of his Scottish accent. His laughter and smile were contagious. He was someone I sought out at company gathering or in a social setting. I will miss him dearly.

Pam, Duane, Wade and all of the Dougal family members
So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad and "Papa". We were neighbors to the Dougal family as they lived on Limerick Rd. right around the corner from us on Cowan Rd. Two of the family dogs, Sandy and Sheba, visited us often and we so enjoyed their visits, tails happily wagging. There were many "waves" by the family coming and going, traveling our neighboring roads. Such a great family and Ian was the friendliest guy, always smiling and happy. He worked diligently for many years and now may he "rest in peace".
Our hearts go out to you~~
John & Kathy (Curry) Smith & family

My condolences to Ian’s family.
Thank you Ian aka Benny Hill for being my mentor and friend when I started as a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker and always guided me throughout my real estate career and all the free lunches you were able to panhandle out of the owners of the restaurants we went to and always making sure our friends at the Abbey had a ride to doctors appointment. Until we meet again Rest In Peace my friend.
