Obituary of Josephine D. Shores

Josephine D. Shores, age 98, of Rochester formerly of Piffard, died Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Woodside Manor Nursing Home in Rochester, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Alvin Shores, brothers, John and James Pullano.

She is survived by her loving children, Margaret (Jim) Newkirk of FL, Mark (Debra) Shores of Rochester, Robert (Ellen) Shores of Buffalo, Mary (Joe) Calabrese of Rochester, her beloved 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, brother, Frank (Shirley) Pullano of FL, many nieces and nephews.

Josephine was born September 10, 1924 in Piffard, NY the daughter of Giacomo Pasquale and Antoinette Pisaro Pullano. She was the recipient of the 1999 "Friends of Young Children Awards". Josephine retired after many dedicated years from the Rochester Children's Nursery.

No prior calling hours. Her Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, December 16, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
