Obituary of Helen D. Wolfe

Helen D. Wolfe, age 89, of York, died Sunday, December 4, 2022 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris, NY. She was predeceased by her husband, Russell Wolfe, granddaughter, Nichole Julian, son in law, Michael Gilman, sisters, Alice Pringle, Elsie Hart and Emma Crawford, brothers, Pete, Bill and John Doolittle.

She is survived by her children, Mindy Gilman, Thomas and Timothy Wolfe all of York, grandchildren, Tyler Gilman and Halie Gilman Johnson, great grandchildren, Finley Gilman, Ava and Logan Julian, many nieces and nephews.

Helen was born July 13, 1933 in York, NY the daughter of Claude and E. Louise Oster Doolittle. She retired from York Central School after 25 years of service. Helen was a lifelong member of the York United Presbyterian Church.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 5-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11 AM at the York United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Michelle Sumption officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery in York.
