Obituary of Alexander A. Chiara Jr.

Alexander A. Chiara, Jr., age 87, of Geneseo, died Friday, May 6, 2022 at United Memorial Medical Center in Batavia, NY. He was predeceased by his wife of 58 years, Rose Mary Chiara and 7 siblings.

He is survived by his children, Kimberly Every of Rochester, Nanette Rice of Geneseo, Jeffrey (Sandra) Chiara of Conesus, Christopher (Gina) Chiara of Webster, 9 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Alex was born April 21, 1935 in Rochester, NY the son of Alexander A. and Josephine DeFrancesco Chiara Sr. He was a US Army Veteran serving from 1955-57. Alex retired as a Film Processer from Eastman Kodak in Rochester. During his retirement Alex was a Bus Driver for Geneseo Central School.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, May 12, 2022 from 4-7 PM at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. His Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, May 13, 2022 at 9:30 AM at St. Mary's Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo with Father Sylvester Bioh officiating. Interment with Military Honors will be in Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
