Obituary of Christine Ranft Carr
Christine “Chrissy” Ranft-Carr of Groveland Hill Rd.in Groveland, passed away on March 13th at Unity hospital in Rochester.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph Carr.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Heather M. (Andy) Carr of Mathews, NC, stepchildren, Terri Lynn (Jerry) Cavigliano of Livonia, Tom Carr of Texas, Scott (Debora) Carr of Texas, step grandchildren, Jackson Carr, Michelle, Tara and Jenna Cavigliano, her brother, Ernst (Maureen) Ranft of Savannah, GA, sister in law, Linda Lehman of Plattsburgh, nephews, Eric Ranft of Seattle, WA and Errol Theodore (Stephine) Ranft of Larchmont NY, niece, Jennifer Ranft of Sterling, VA, grandniece and grandnephews, Duncan, Casey Jane, and Jacob Ranft, and very special friend, Mary Patricia Schaap of Lakeville.
Chrissy was born April 1, 1942 in Munich, Germany, the daughter of Ludwig and Elfriede Engel Ranft. She attended Rochester Business Institute and was employed at Farm Credit in Geneseo as Senior Office Assistant. She also served as Deputy Town Clerk in Geneseo for 12 years and most recently as a cashier at the Abbey of the Genesee in Piffard. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Geneseo.
No prior calling hours. Funeral Mass March 29th, 2022 at 9:30AM at St. Mary’s Church, 4 Avon Rd. in Geneseo. Burial, St. Mary’s Cemetery in Geneseo. Memorials may be made to the Abbey of the Genesee, 3258 River Rd., Piffard, NY 14533 or to the Teresa House, 21 Highland Rd., Geneseo, NY 14454.
