I barely remember Ron. We went to Manchester Elementary together. We were in the same grade. Ron hung out with some of the cooler kids. And some of those kids liked to swing their weight around, but not Ron. Ron was friendly and genuine whenever we would talk to each other. Never being afraid to appear weak; he was "the nice one" in the group of cool kids, but he wore it like a badge. Everyone knew he was nice. That was just Ron.

Dear Kristi,
You may not remember me but this is Mrs. Socia (Shawn). My husband, Mr. Socia (John) was your 4th grade teacher at Manchester Elementary. I worked at the school on the playground and special education assistant. Jasper was one of Ron's best friends. Mr. Socia had also had Ron in his class the previous year. You and Ron visited us in the summer of 1996 ( think it was that year) here in Boise. We were just remembering you guys and I looked up Ron, only to see that he had passed just last September. My heart feels so heavy with that knowing. I'm so sorry for your loss. I always remember what a loving and sweet, decent child Ron was. Every year Ron would have Jasper over as his only birthday guest Jasper held Ron in a special place, as Mr. Socia and have held both of you in our hearts and thoughts all these years. I knew him better than I knew you as he was friends with Jasper and would come to play at our house. I hope this finds you safe, happy and well with lots of loving family surrounding you. We will always hold you in our hearts Kristi.
Love to you and all of yours
Warmly,,
Shawn Socia

Ron had this way of looking at the world that reminded us that all the seemingly-important stuff our heads were filled with wasn’t actually that important. He had this uncanny knack for walking into a tense room and breaking it all down into a few incredibly well-timed jokes that put everything into perspective. I loved his wry and deeply-experienced laugh. While much of our circle were quite content being the directionless misfits we were back then, he always quietly had his affairs in order, always seemed to have a plan. I always noticed and secretly hoped my life would look like his someday. Your time on Earth enriched ours in countless ways, large and small. I hope you’ve found yourself somewhere peaceful, Mr. Livermore. I’ll miss you, my friend.

I knew Ron for many years after high-school, and lots of 4x4/getting your truck muddy adventures. He was always the guy who always had some random funny things to randomly say....he was always a stand up guy and while I haven't seen him in 15 years.....his passing hit me hard!!! While your life was cut short due to unknown reasons......but while you spent a short life on earth, Wel done good and faithful servant to those around you.....and I hope you are being rewarded now for this....rest in peace....you will be missed by than you know.
