Obituary of Harold R. "Pidge" Harris

Harold R. "Pidge" Harris, age 91, of Geneseo, died Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was predeceased by his grandson, Robert Sobel, siblings, Leon, Ernie, Neil Jr. and Donald Harris, Alice Parker and Florence Heinlein.

He is survived by his loving companion, Sharon Major and her son David of Honeoye Falls, daughters, Marie Sobel of Mt. Morris, Rain (Youssef) Sadkane of FL, sisters in law, Shirley Harris of Batavia, Marge Harris of Wadsworth, Sue Beachel of Cuylerville, many nieces and nephews.

Pidge was born July 16, 1929 in Retsof, NY the son of Neil E. and Ruth Mae Nichols Harris Sr. He was a US Army Korean War Veteran and a Purple Heart recipient. Pidge was retired from Max Pies Floor Coverings Inc. in Rochester. He was an avid bowler and had 3 perfect games over his many years at local lanes.

Friends may call Friday, May 28, 2021 from 4-7 pm at the Rector-Hicks Funeral Home, 111 Main St. in Geneseo. Graveside Services with Military Honors will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Temple Hill Cemetery in Geneseo.
