To Marianne's family and loved ones:
Marianne was a champion for the learners under her care at Wyoming Central. Her students wrote their own books, learned at a pace that worked for them and succeeded with her teaching and support. With her encouragement, WCS developed multi-age learning, making sure that no child was left behind. For a very small educational district, she enlarged the capacity of the school, it's teachers and every student. She did a great job and left a fine legacy.

Dear extended Lagattuta family,
We are so sad to hear of Aunt Marianne's passing. She was a very special aunt who was always calm in a crisis. Your mom and dad got along so well with ours and they were good travel buddies. Your mom could really handle my dad even when he was a bad boy.
With fond rememberance

To the Wonderful LaGattuta family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Marianne's passing. May your many wonderful memories of her comfort you all at this difficult time. I still have the most wonderful memories of your family during my time as a student at Geneseo from 1971 - through my master's year in '76. Marianne's smile was beautiful and I can still hear her wonderful laugh. I am so glad that I got to see Nick and Marianne during a visit to Geneseo a few years ago. Please know that you all are in my prayers and in my heart. God Bless.
Love,
Rosemary DiDio Brehm

Dear Mr. LaGattuta, I remember you & your wife from Spruce School in North Tonawanda. You taught 6th grade & your wife was the music teacher. I was there from 1955-58. I was in Mr. Gardner’s 6th grade classroom, not far from yours. You & your wife we’re always praised by your students as great teachers. You have my deepest sympathy for your loss.
Sincerely,
Dan Drmacich

So sad to hear of Mrs. LaGattuta's passing . I was a former student of hers and her husbands in the late 50's in the Spruce Street Elementary school in North Tonawanda. I remember her as the energetic, enthusiastic, red headed music teacher who helped me with my role in "A Christmas Carol". I adored and admired her immensely. Her and her husband , Nick, were a loving and much loved couple. In fact, Mr. LaGattuta was my favorite teacher of all time....I have so many fond memories of my 6th grade experience. My sincere condolences go out to you and yours. Sincerely, Sally Schoenfeldt Raskin.
