I was very sorry to hear about Frank. I worked with him at the college. He was always ready to help. I will miss seeing him at bridge. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

For a few years, Frank was the guy who smoked his pipe outside on his break at SUNY. I worked in the next buidling, as a professor for the School of Ed. Then, when I took up bridge again (after twenty years' hiatus), I got to see Frank in a different light: director of the games in our local bridge club. Being a director now myself, I appreciate the difficulty of the job. Somebody will always be unhappy with your decisions. Frank did his job effectively and efficiently, allowing the rest of us to have a good time. I wasn't always the easiest guy to deal with, either. After a while, though, it was difficult not to appreciate Frank's contribution.. Frank often did double-duty, serving as playing director, too.
After twenty years I considered Frank a good friend. I will miss him greatly.
