Obituary of Dorothy P. "Dotti" McKeown

Dorothy P. "Dotti" McKeown, age 96, of Crossett Road in Geneseo, died Friday, May 30,2025 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. She was a resident at Morgan Estates in Geneseo before transitioning to the Livingston County C.N.R.

Dotti was predeceased by her husband, Alfred "Alfie" McKeown, son, Douglas McKeown and brother, George Gough.

She is survived by her sons, Steven (Deborah) McKeown of Campbell, NY, David (Melissa) McKeown of Oakley, CA, daughter in law, Carol McKeown of Geneseo, grandchildren, Kevin McKeown, Christopher McKeown, Katelyn (Brandon) Harrian, Brandy (Chris) Nicoll, Rebecca McKeown, great grandchildren, Aiden and Shea McKeown, Aelish Nicoll, several nieces and nephews.

Dotti was born March 24,1929 in Rochester, NY the daughter of Arthur and Grace Hayes Gough. After high school, she attended art school in Buffalo. She married Alfred McKeown in January of 1951. Together they raised 3 sons. She retired from the Advertisement Department for the Gannett Newspaper Company in the Geneseo Office. Dotti was an avid bowler, bird watcher and card player. She was active in the Geneseo Fire Department's Ladies Auxiliary. The New York Yankees and especially the Buffalo Bills had a devoted lifelong fan in Dorothy.

No prior calling hours. Funeral Services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Geneseo.
